Baptism is:

• Preceded by repentance – a personal acknowledgement of our sins and shortcomings before God, as well as a genuine change of mind for the better
• An outward and public expression of faith in Jesus. It washes away our sins, the guilt of our past, ultimately uniting us with Jesus to start a new and liberated life
• Administered in the name, rather, in the authority of Jesus Christ, just like Christians in the Bible
